Job summary

Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, KS is hiring a Radiology Technologist to operate standard, portable, and specialized X-ray equipment for diagnostic imaging and patient care. You will prepare patients, capture high-quality images, and coordinate with radiologists for interpretation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA accredited program in Radiographic Technology.
• ARRT registered or registry eligible within one year of completing program.
• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
• Must adhere to ARRT continuing education credits (24 in 2 years).

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• Develop and process films and transmit to a Radiologist for interpretation.
• Administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice and regulations.
• Ensure prompt transfer of images and documents to PACS with correct data/history.
• Turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

The Radiology Technologist operates standard, portable, and specialized X-ray equipment to perform routine and semi-complex radiographic examinations used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment. Schedule

Baylor position! 2 weekend night shifts, 7:00pm-7:00am

What you will do in this role:

• You will prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• You will develop and process films and transmit to a Radiologist for interpretation.
• You will administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• You will ensure prompt transfer of images and documents to PACS system (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
• You will turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
• You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

What qualifications you will need:

• Must be a graduate of an AMA accredited program with a certificate or degree in Radiographic Technology.
• Should adhere to ARRT guidelines of obtaining 24 continuing education credits bi-annually.
• Must be ARRT Registered with ARRT – RT(R) or Registry eligible (must be registered within one year of completing program).
• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
