Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate standard, portable, and specialized X-ray equipment for routine and semi-complex radiographic exams used in patient care.

You’ll join an amazing team that supports one another and values compassionate care, with a schedule of Friday through Sunday, 7:00pm–7:30am. Responsibilities include patient preparation, image development and transmission to radiologists, administration of contrast media, and maintaining strict radiation

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA accredited program in Radiographic Technology.
• Must adhere to ARRT guidelines including 24 CE credits bi-annually.
• Must be ARRT Registered with RT(R) or Registry eligible (registered within 1 year of program completion).
• BCLS certification required within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiological procedures and obtain images following safety and care procedures.
• Develop and process radiographs and transmit to Radiologist for interpretation.
• Administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure prompt transfer of images/docs to PACS with correct data/history.
• Prepare and clean room between patients using aseptic technique and sterilize equipment.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Radiology Technologist operates standard, portable, and specialized X-ray equipment to perform routine and semi-complex radiographic examinations used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment.

What you will do in this role:

• You will prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• You will develop and process films and transmit to a Radiologist for interpretation.
• You will administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• You will ensure prompt transfer of images and documents to PACS system (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
• You will turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
• You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

What qualifications you will need:

• Must be a graduate of an AMA accredited program with a certificate or degree in Radiographic Technology.
