Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our Urgent Care team. You will perform X-ray imaging, venipuncture, point-of-care tests, and assist in patient flow under physician supervision. The role requires ARRT certification, an approved RT program, and a state license (MD/DC/VA). Prior medical office experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required and ARRT certification.
• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• Externship in a medical or ambulatory setting preferred.
• At least 2 years of medical office experience preferred.
• Maryland, Virginia, or DC state license required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs X-ray imaging under physician supervision and forwards images for overreads.
• Delivers patient care with attention to safety and quality.
• Manages patient intake, vitals, and basic measurements.
• Assists with lab testing and venipuncture as needed.
• Maintains equipment and adheres to radiology safety standards.

Education

Associate degree

Completion of an approved R.T. program

Externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting

2 years of medical office experience

ARRT Certification

State License (Maryland, Virginia, or DC)

BLS (Basic Life Support)
