Job summary

Physicians Care in Hixson, TN is seeking an experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Tech to join our team. The role includes performing x-ray testing, operating diagnostic equipment, developing film, and assisting with Medical Assistant duties.

Shifts are 12-hour weekday with every-other weekend; full-time rotating 36-40 hours. PRN openings available; competitive salary and benefits offered, plus a sign-on bonus up to $3,500.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• TN State X-Ray License.
• ARRT Certification preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promptly greets patients when entering waiting area, exam room, and laboratory or x-ray room.
• Communicates with patients on wait times; directs to next step in treatment.
• Provides solutions to patient problems and seeks help in emergent situations.
• Executes follow-up calls with a sense of urgency.
• Assists with front desk check in/out procedures when necessary.
• Documents patient vitals, history, medications, allergies and other pertinent information.
• Assists with patient transfers and procedures under supervision.
• Follows documentation procedures and completes required paperwork.
• Performs radiology procedures for evaluation and treatment by attending physician.
• Performs quality control to ensure exam quality.
• Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and ensures radiation safety.
• Ensures equipment is functioning and reports malfunctions.
• Maintains licensure and certification for radiology equipment.
