Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform high-quality radiographic procedures using fluoroscopy, portable, surgical and general radiography equipment. You will ensure imaging excellence and patient safety in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include verifying patient information, documenting in the radiology and HIS, contributing to CQI initiatives, and educating patients before and after exams.

Qualifications

• Quality radiographic care must be demonstrated.
• Ability to operate radiographic equipment including fluoroscopy, portable and surgical units.
• Knowledge of radiology safety and patient handling.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the appropriate operation of all radiographic equipment including fluoroscopy units, portable units, surgical units as well as general radiography units.
• Accountable for the production of quality radiographs.
• Demonstrates safety in all areas, electrical, environmental, radiation etc.
• Ensures all appropriate information is present before radiographs are performed.
• Completes all data entries in the radiology and hospital information system.
• Participates in efforts to monitor and improve departmental CQI indicators.
• Submits ideas for improving quality in your department.
