Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform basic to advanced radiologic procedures under the direction of a Radiologist. The role requires proficiency in general diagnostic, fluoroscopy, GI, urology, and C-arm procedures and a strong focus on patient communication and safety.

The candidate will position patients, select exposure factors, and ensure accurate labeling and image quality while using the radiology information system and maintaining regulatory records.

Qualifications

  • Wisconsin radiographer license required.
  • ARRT registered technologist (RT) certification required.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers required within 6 months.
  • Typically 2 years of Radiologic Technologist experience.
  • Proficient with general diagnostic, fluoroscopy, GI, urology, and c-arm procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic to advanced radiologic procedures under the Radiologist's direction.
  • Position patients and set exposure factors; provide radiation protection.
  • Identify patients, label images, verify orders, and process images.
  • Collaborate with Radiologists; serve as a resource to staff and providers.
  • Maintain records in RIS and document billing codes for charges.
  • Educate and precept students and staff; act as a clinical resource.
  • Assist with positioning and transporting; follow safety protocols.
