Qualifications

This position requires a minimum of 16 hours per month, with shifts available in the Hanover area and flexibility to travel as needed.

Responsibilities:

1. Identify patients accurately using two identifiers and follow universal protocol during procedures. Review patient history, assess physician orders, and document appropriately.
2. Administer PO and rectal contrast as per physician orders and departmental policies.
3. Ensure proper coding, tracking, and networking of exams through RIS and ISITE systems, and accurately enter charges.
4. Perform diagnostic radiography procedures independently following established protocols.
5. Use complex imaging equipment for data acquisition, analysis, and documentation, adhering to protocols.
6. Communicate effectively with patients and team members, demonstrating care, respect, and professionalism.
7. Adjust protocols independently and apply ionizing radiation appropriately for diagnostics.
8. Explain procedures clearly to patients to ease fears and ensure cooperation.
9. Graduate from an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology program or have verification of completion and scheduled graduation.
10. Technologists hired before graduation will work under indirect supervision until degree verification.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• ARRT Registry eligible; must obtain radiography registry within 6 months of hire.
• CPR or BLS certification required.
• Act 31, 33, 34, and 73 clearances with renewal are required.
