Job summary

USC Care Medical Group seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, with emphasis on patient safety and accurate imaging. You will verify orders, position patients, and ensure proper technique while maintaining equipment and records in a demanding clinical setting.

Excellent communication, a radiologic technology credential, and the ability to work with diverse ages are required.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
• 1 year as a Radiology Technologist.
• Previous acute hospital experience desired either as a radiologic or student technologist.
• Excellent communication skills in English; comfortable with computers and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Performs/assists radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures per protocol.
• Plan and perform procedures considering patient age and body part.
• Review radiographs for positioning, technique, and identification.
• Demonstrate knowledge of radiographic equipment and demonstrate proper positioning.
• Adjust factors with patient age to minimize radiation.
• Process digital imaging cassettes and return to proper location.
• Confirm patient identification and review doctors order for proper protocol.
• Recognize emergencies and administer aid as appropriate.
• Maintain patient files and paperwork; keep work areas organized.
• Order/stock supplies and wear appropriate protective measures.
