Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist; acute hospital experience desired.
• Excellent communication skills; able to speak, read and write English proficiently.
• Comfortable with computers and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures according to the department manual.
• Reviews radiographs for positioning, technique and identification.
• Maintains equipment knowledge and uses proper markers.
• Ensures patient safety and radiation protection; verifies patient information and exam protocol.
• Keeps exam rooms neat, stocks supplies, and participates in scheduling or transport as needed.
