Job summary

Responsibilities include preparing patients, positioning for accurate imaging, maintaining sterile technique, and ensuring proper documentation for billing and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Current Licensure as Radiologic Technologist in the State of California.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• AHA Basic Life Support.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Los Angeles City Employees only).

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of general diagnostic radiological procedures ensuring optimal imaging.
• Ensure patient identity and procedure matches physician order and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate patient requirements during procedures and transportation to ensure safety.
• Maintain sterile environment and use PPE as necessary.
• Adhere to ALARA principles and provide shielding to minimize exposure.
• Document charges and assist with supplies, rounds, and department records.
• Monitor procedures and equipment, report malfunctions promptly, ensure accurate medical records.
