Job summary

University of Southern California is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to support the Imaging Services Team. You will perform diagnostic radiology procedures in diverse clinical settings and ensure patient safety and accurate imaging.

Responsibilities include reviewing orders, adjusting technical factors by patient age, maintaining equipment, and guiding students and junior staff. This role may require after-hours standby and on-call rotations at Keck Hospital of USC in Los Angeles.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• Graduation from AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification (American Heart Association).
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (ARRT).
• California DPH Certified Radiologic Technologist.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal & written).
• Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Prior acute hospital radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures per department protocol.
• Adjusts exposure factors according to patient age and body part while minimizing radiation.
• Reviews orders to ensure proper exam protocol; confirms patient identification.
• Maintains radiographic equipment, supplies, and clean, organized work areas.
• Mentors students and less experienced technologists; supports staff and physicians.
• Willing to participate in after-hours standby and on-call rotations; uses pager as required.
