Job summary

Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center in Kentucky seeks a Radiologic Technologist to provide imaging services. You will position patients, select exposure factors, and follow ALARA safety standards in a fast-paced radiology setting.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians in imaging procedures and preparation/administration of contrast media as needed. Licensure as RT(T) and ROC in Kentucky required on hire; BLS within 90 days. Flexible full-time schedule in a 72-hour pay-period.

• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Education/licensure requirements: degree or higher in science/related field; certain certifications required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Positions patients and selects exposure factors accurately.
• Utilizes radiation protection and safety standards.
• Applies as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA) principle to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others.
• Assists the physician in a variety of imaging procedures.
• May be required to prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Responsible for setting up and providing equipment and supplies before, during, and after procedures.
