Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking an Imaging - Radiological Technologist for full time, part time, or PRN with multiple shifts. The Radiology team supports high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient care across radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.

The role requires ARRT registry, Kentucky license, CT registry within one year, and BLS certification. The department emphasizes safety, CQI, and comprehensive patient education.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of an accredited education program in radiologic technology.
• Current ARRT Registry.
• Current license with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
• Advanced ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography required within one (1) year of hire
• 3 Years of related experience.
• Current BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Executes ionizing radiation to patients to take x-ray images in the safest manner possible.
• Prepares room, equipment, and materials as needed for patients daily.
• Participates in CQI activities and provides input for improvement.
• Provides directions to patients regarding radiologic exams. Provides education to patients regarding their ordered exams.
• Cleans and disinfects x-ray room and equipment after each exam.
• Maintains adequate and proper records.
• Prepares barium and other chemical mixtures for x-rays.
• Must pass initial competency test and yearly competency testing thereafter.
• Will assume other duties applicable to the operation of the Radiology Department as needed.
