Job summary

Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to provide high-quality imaging services. You will position patients, select exposure factors, and uphold ALARA principles to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and others.

The role requires RT(T) registration, ROC certification, and BLS within 90 days. You will work with physicians in various imaging procedures and may assist with contrast media administration, while maintaining equipment and supplies throughout

Qualifications

Education: Associate's degree or higher in Science required upon hire OR Diploma, Associate's degree or higher in related field required upon hire.
A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: RT(T) - Registered Radiologic Technologist in Radiation Therapy required upon hire; ROC required; BLS within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Positions patients and selects exposure factors accurately.
Utilizes radiation protection and safety standards.
Applies ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others.
Assists physician in various imaging procedures.
May prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice and regulations.
Sets up and provides equipment and supplies before, during, and after procedures.
