Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Radiology Technologist for Westside Urgent Care. The technologist performs diagnostic imaging under supervision, ensuring patient safety and comfort while applying radiation protection principles.

Responsibilities include history intake, positioning, consent, post-procedure documentation, and assisting with fluoroscopy. ARRT certification and BLS are required; Ohio licensure preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• ARRT-certified Radiologic Technologist license required.
• State licensure preferred where required.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• Minimum 1 year experience in radiology/patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history and labs; documents for licensed practitioner.
• Positions patient to best demonstrate area of interest; ensures comfort.
• Applies radiation safety principles to minimize exposure.
• Performs radiographic procedures with imaging equipment.
• Verifies informed consent and completes pre/post procedure documentation.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic procedures; maintains aseptic technique.
• Performs timeout as per policy.
• Administers medications/contrast as prescribed.
