Job summary

The University of Michigan Health-West is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform general radiographic procedures and support high-quality patient care. You will operate radiology equipment, adhere to ALARA principles, and participate in quality improvement activities under the supervision of the Radiology Clinical Supervisor.

Shift is Nights with 0.6 FTE, on-call duties, and weekend coverage. Candidates should have ARRT board registration, current BLS, and ongoing continuing education to

Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA-approved radiography program.
• Successful ARRT board registration.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer ionizing radiation in the production of radiographs.
• Provide safe and effective patient care while performing duties of Radiologic Technologist.
• Utilize Radiology equipment and software in daily responsibilities.
• Maintain certifications, registrations, and education requirements of the hospital and accrediting body.
• Apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation dose.
• Demonstrate knowledge of all protocols and procedures.
• Display proficiency with AIDET when communicating with patients and staff.
• All other duties as assigned.
