Job summary

University of Michigan Health-West is seeking an MRI Tech I for night shifts (36 hours per week) to perform MRI procedures with independent judgment, ensuring patient safety in a strong magnetic field. You will support injections and scan processes and help manage PACS/RIS workflows.

The role requires ARRT certification and BLS, with 6 months MRI experience preferred; cross-training opportunities are available. On-call duties rotate with the team.

Qualifications

• Formal radiologic technology training with ARRT registry active.
• Cardiac or MRI-specific certification preferred; BLS required.
• Minimum 6 months MRI experience or willingness to cross-train.

Responsibilities

• Perform various MRI procedures with independent judgment.
• Order, inject, and scan patients, prioritizing safety in a strong magnetic field.
• Operate PACS and RIS systems and screen patients before exams.
• Assist radiology staff during sedation procedures and prep requirements.
• Rotate on-call duties as needed by the department.
