Job summary

Vetted Solutions seeks an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or research imaging within a magnetic field, independently conducting MRI procedures and administering medications per policy. Candidates should have MR credentials (ARRT or NMTCB/ARMRIT) and a radiologic technology background, with a preference for a Bachelor’s degree and prior MRI experience.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR certification is required.
• Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Proficiency in routine and complex MRI duties with strong safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders and double-check patient identity and prep, document history and maintain confidentiality.

• Evaluate image quality and verify data transfer; assist with MR interventional procedures.

Role Overview

MRI Technologists utilize radiofrequencies within a magnetic field to perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or research imaging. They independently conduct MRI procedures, prepare and administer medications per legal and institutional policies, and analyze imaging data for accurate diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, ensure proper patient identification and preparation, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
• Use appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to ensure patient safety and high-quality imaging.
• Evaluate image quality, verify data storage or transfer, and assist with magnetic resonance interventional procedures.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and apply safety principles to minimize risks.
• Select suitable pulse sequences based on protocols and participate in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Certifications from ARRT (MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB (with MR credentials) are required.
• Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; a Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
