Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic MRI procedures, analyze imaging data, and ensure patient safety. Candidate must hold ARRT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB MR certification and complete specialty training in Radiologic Technology; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

You will work with licensed practitioners and contribute to quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• ARRT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB MR certification required.
• Graduate from a specialty radiologic technology program; bachelor’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history with confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles for safety.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed.
• Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and verify data storage or transfer.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
• Apply magnetic resonance safety principles to minimize risks.
• Assist with MRI interventional procedures and perform prescribed imaging tasks.
• Select pulse sequences based on protocols and data acquisition factors.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties.

Role Overview

MRI Technologists perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or research magnetic resonance imaging using radiofrequencies within a magnetic field. They acquire, analyze, and prepare imaging data for interpretation by licensed practitioners, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
