Job summary

The CORE Institute in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform imaging procedures for patients with a focus on safety and quality. You will verify patient history, position patients correctly, and ensure optimal image quality while following infection control standards.

Responsibilities include operating equipment, educating patients, and supporting sterile procedures as needed, with confidentiality and teamwork emphasized throughout the role.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program or equivalent credential with ARRT certification.
• Active state licensure and ARRT certification are required.
• CPR certification is required for patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient and exam, obtain and document history.
• Positioning and technique selection to ensure high-quality images.
• Maintain infection control and standard precautions at all times.
• Educate patients about procedures and related information.
• Operate radiology equipment and manage supplies as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and assist with CQI programs.
• Support Arthrogram procedures and sterile technique when required.

Qualifications

• Completion of Associates Eprogram in Radiologic Technology or Certification from a Credentialled Radiology School, with ARRT Certification.


• Minimum of one year of previous experience.


• Current State and ARRT licensure.


• Current CPR certification.

Essential Functions

• Correctly identifies patient and corresponding exam. Obtains and documents patient history.


• Demonstrates proper positioning, radiographic techniques, and cassette screen/grid combinations to ensure high quality examinations.


• Practice standard precautions and maintain infection control standards.


• Educate patient regarding procedures and related information.


• Properly operate equipment as demonstrated by observation and audit.


• Cleans equipment and stocks supplies as needed.


• Demonstrate cooperative, positive and professional patient care and customer service.


• Consistently maintain complete confidentiality of all medical, financial, employee, computer or other sensitive material which may jeopardize the privacy of others.


• Perform and support quality assurance/CQI programs and processes.


• Demonstrate commitment to organizational goals.


• Attend all mandatory in-services and training.


• Assist the Radiologist with Arthrogram procedures. Must demonstrate appropriate sterile procedure skills.


• Performs any other duties assigned.
