Job summary

A healthcare organization in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking a part-time Clinic Support professional to provide essential patient and technical support in radiology. The ideal candidate must hold ARRT certification and relevant state licensure, possess at least one year of experience, and be able to maintain infection control standards. Responsibilities include patient education, equipment operation, and assisting the Radiologist. Qualifications

  • Current State and ARRT licensure for all three modalities (R/CT/MR).
  • Completion of Associates program in Radiologic Technology or Certification from a Credentialed Radiology School, with ARRT Certification.
  • Minimum of one year of previous experience.
  • Current CPR certification (or obtained within the first 90 days)

Essential Functions

  • Correctly identifies patient and corresponding exam. Obtains and documents patient history.
  • Demonstrates proper positioning, radiographic techniques, and cassette screen/grid combinations to ensure high quality examinations.
  • Practice standard precautions and maintain infection control standards.
  • Educate patient regarding procedures and related information.
  • Properly operate equipment as demonstrated by observation and audit.
  • Demonstrate cooperative, positive and professional patient care and customer service.
  • Consistently maintain complete confidentiality of all medical, financial, employee, computer or other sensitive material which may jeopardize the privacy of others.
  • Perform and support quality assurance/ CQI programs and processes.
  • Demonstrate commitment to organizational goals.
  • Attend all mandatory in-services and training.
  • Screen patients before exam for any contraindications pertaining to the exam.
  • Start heplock and administer IV contrast under the direction of the Radiologist.
  • Assist the Radiologist with Arthrogram procedures. Must demonstrate appropriate sterile procedure skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.
