Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks an experienced cardiology RN for the Cath Lab. The role provides direct patient care for adults in the cardiovascular environment, with ongoing physician communication and equipment support.

The position is full-time, days (7:00am - 3:30pm) with on-call requirements; located in Chicago, IL. Eligible candidates will have BSN, an active RN license, and current BCLS/ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients in the cardiovascular lab setting.

• Maintains equipment and inventory for the Cardiovascular Laboratory.
• Assesses room and equipment readiness for procedures.
• Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic/therapeutic procedures.
• Records patient condition throughout lab time and contributes to QA activities.

Department: Cath Lab - Cardiology

Schedule: Full-Time, Day (7:00am - 3:30pm)

Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with physician continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory. Assesses procedure room or equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the Cardiovascular Laboratory team are met. Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Monitors and records patients condition continuously while in the Cardiovascular lab. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.

2. Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required.

3. Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required.

4. One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $38.18 to $57.87. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
