Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA is seeking a Radiology Technologist Intern for diagnostic imaging across adult, pediatric, and trauma patients. The intern will assist with general radiography procedures in varied clinical settings and gain hands-on experience under supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, active status in the Penn State ARRT Allied Health program, minimum six months of clinical radiology experience, completion of program

  • Must have passed all related exam competencies as set forth by the program guidelines and ARRT.
  • BLS certification.

Night Shift Differential: $2.50/hour

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for the performance of general diagnostic imaging procedures on patients utilizing a computer-based system for patient record and image storage. Intern will perform exams in a variety of clinical settings within the Main and Children’s Hospital on adult, pediatric, geriatric, and trauma patients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be in good standing in the Penn State ARRT Allied Health program
  • Minimum six (6) months of clinical experience as a student in the radiology department.
  • Must have passed all related exam competencies as set forth by the program guidelines and ARRT.
  • BLS certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Computer skills as well as working knowledge of hospital RIS and PACS system.
