The Registered Radiology Technologist performs medical imaging examinations under the direction of a physician.

• Pay Range: $28.15 - $43.42 hourly (DOE) + $10/hr float differential

System Float Pool (https://intermountainhealthcare.org/) is part of Intermountain Health, a nonprofit healthcare organization focusing on person-centered care. Caregivers in our Float Pool enjoy assignments across various locations in the Denver area, including:

• Good Samaritan Medical Center – Lafayette
• Lutheran Medical Center – Wheat Ridge
• Platte Valley Medical Center – Brighton
• Saint Joseph Hospital – Denver

**Scope:**

• Produce x-ray images of specified body areas as directed by the physician or radiologist, ensuring clear and undistorted films. Position and instruct patients regarding x-ray procedures.
• Perform x-ray procedures using portable machines as requested by the Emergency Department and nursing units.
• Process films for radiologists' reading/interpretation following established procedures.
• Prepare or clean patient rooms by changing linens, stocking supplies, and wiping off tables and equipment to ensure an efficient and clean working environment.
• Protect patients from undue radiation exposure by using lead shields and safety measures.
• Assist in administering contrast agents, monitoring dosages, and checking for allergies, ensuring compliance with department policies.
• Maintain patient records by updating film jackets and filing reports or films accurately.
• Maintain imaging and processing equipment through scheduled cleaning and testing, and report malfunctions.

**Qualifications:**

• High School diploma or equivalent, required.
• Successful completion of an approved radiological training program and eligibility for ARRT registry, required.
• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, required.
• At least one year of experience in a relevant patient care setting, preferred.
