GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This role performs prescribed radiographic imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Competently performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and initiative. Provides support in staff coordination and may serve as a physician liaison.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Oversees daily operations, manages non-labor expenses, activities, and inventory for the department; maintains a quality assurance program according to regulatory standards. (35%)
  2. Positions patients, selects anatomical and technical parameters, and performs radiographic imaging independently. Prepares for and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. May perform phlebotomy and EKG services. (30%)
  3. Completes all required documentation for procedures, including regulatory, billing, and imaging distribution. (10%)
  4. Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice and regulations. (10%)
  5. Implements radiation protection and safety standards, ensuring compliance. (10%)
  6. Coverage of chief tech duties as assigned. (5%)
  7. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two-year college, technical school, or related experience/training.
  • ARRT (R) Radiography certification with 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance.
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance.
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree.
