Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate x-ray equipment and capture diagnostic images as ordered by physicians. You will follow ALARA principles, adhere to infection prevention protocols, and ensure accurate patient identification and documentation.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, IEMA accreditation, and ARRT certification or eligibility (within 12 months). Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• IEMA Accreditation in Radiologic Technology required.
• ARRT (RT) Certification or eligibility; must obtain within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs per physician orders.
• Maintain infection prevention, sterile techniques, and ALARA principles.
• Identify patients accurately and document procedures precisely.
• Review radiographs for optimum quality and resolve equipment issues.
• Support professional teamwork and patient-centered care.
• Attend in-services and CPR to maintain certification; follow department standards.
