Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• IEMA Accreditation in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT (RT) Certification or Certificate Eligible; ARRT must be obtained within 1 year of hire for new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs as ordered by a physician.
• Adheres to ALARA principles to minimize exposure.
• Maintains patient identification accuracy and explains procedures to patients.
• Reviews radiographs for quality and reports equipment issues.
• Maintains infection prevention, sterile technique and cleanliness of equipment.
• Maintains supplies and supports patient comfort during exams.
• Demonstrates professionalism and teamwork; participates in learning activities and CPR recertification.
