Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographs per physician orders, ensuring quality studies and patient safety. You will use proper parameters, follow ALARA, and maintain accurate documentation within RIS/HIS systems.

You will interact professionally with patients, prepare exam rooms, manage supplies, and stay current with licensure and CPR requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• IEMA Accreditation in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT (RT) Certification or Certificate Eligible; must be obtained within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs as ordered by a physician.
• Adhere to infection prevention and sterile techniques in patient care.
• Apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
• Identify patients and ensure correct exam at the right time.
• Label radiographs per department criteria and standards.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and work area, and manage supplies.
• Maintain state license and national certification; attend required training and CPR.
• Document procedures and perform RIS/HIS tasks as required.
