Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist to operate radiographic equipment and assist with procedures. The role requires ARRT-recognized radiologic technology training and BLS certification, with a minimum of two years' Rad Tech I experience.

The position includes evenings and weekends as part of the schedule. Responsibilities include patient positioning, image acquisition, and coordination with Radiology staff, with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and proper

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• BLS certification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years' Rad Tech I experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates all radiographic equipment in the department and ensures proper patient positioning.
• Performs and/or assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Verifies physician notes and special instructions with Radiologist or physicians as needed.
• Handles radiopharmaceuticals or contrast materials as directed for administration by licensed personnel.
• Confirms patient identity and records medical history for procedures.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Maintains proper supply levels in procedure rooms.
• Keeps patient records accurate and up-to-date.
