Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to independently perform radiographic examinations in line with department protocols and ACR imaging standards. You will ensure patient safety, use state-of-the-art equipment, and handle data in PACS to support accurate records and billing.

The role emphasizes ALARA practices, infection control, and timely collaboration with the care team to enhance patient experience and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Completed accredited Radiology Technology Program and registry eligible.
• Associates Degree in Radiology Technology preferred.
• At least one year of experience preferred.
• Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license and registry eligible for ARRT; ARRT to be obtained within 12 months of hire. BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Greets and educates patients, ensuring safety and comfort while verifying exam orders.
• Performs imaging exams following ALARA standards and established protocols.
• Completes diagnostic imaging examinations with accurate documentation and appropriate charges.
• Sends and stores images/data in PACS; maintains department records and logs.
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment and promotes a culture of safety.
• Responds to supply/equipment issues to ensure reliable operations and maintenance.
• Transports and assists ambulatory patients as needed.
• Communicates effectively with the healthcare team and participates in handoff procedures.
• Participates in staffing planning to meet patient and physician needs.
• Adheres to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
