Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
• Must possess current Radiography License as required by state board where services will be provided.
• MD: Radiographer License through Maryland Board of Physicians
• OH: Radiographer License through Ohio Department of Health
• PA: No state licensure required
• WV: Radiography License through West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board
• Must be Nationally certified as defined by location where services will be provided.
• MD: ARRT registered upon hire
• OH: ARRT registration upon hire
• PA: ARRT within six months of graduation
• WV: ARRT registration upon hire
• Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire
• State and Federal background checks as required for regulated areas.

Responsibilities

• Rotates in all Diagnostic areas for development of technical skills (Fluoro, Mobiles, Routine, Operating Room, Endoscopy, Orthopedics).
• Performs image procedures based on patient status, service request, and imaging protocols.
• Produces images of optimal quality using imaging equipment and systems.
• Selects exposure factors based on patient size, condition, and pathology.
• Minimizes radiation exposure with shielding, collimation, and inverse square law.
