Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiologic equipment such as C-arms and ERCP systems, capturing diagnostic images under physician direction. The role emphasizes image quality, safety (ALARA), and patient care across procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform essential job functions with adequate visual acuity.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others and to hear and distinguish speech.
• ARRT registered radiologic technologist or ARRT certification within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and adjust radiographic equipment for exposures.
• Position patients for procedures and obtain optimal images with physicians.
• Maintain ALARA practices and protect patient anatomy with shielding.
• Operate C-arm and portable imaging devices to produce high-quality images.
• Coordinate with surgical teams and schedule imaging around procedures.
• Mentor students and participate in training for the School of Radiologic Technology.
