Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiographic and CT equipment and provide diagnostically useful images as directed by physicians. The role requires ARRT certification within 60 days and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

The successful candidate will perform procedures, ensure complete data for interpretation, utilize PACS/RIS/HIS EMR systems, mentor staff, and uphold safety, documentation, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• ARRT Certification within 60 days.
• Associate's degree or certificate from accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiographic and CT equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Initiates actions to radiologist or practitioner when timely attention is needed.
• Verifies exam indications and reports improper indications to supervisor.
• Provides complete exam data for interpretation by reading radiologist.
• Utilizes PACS/RIS/HIS EMR systems and performs clerical duties.
• Archives images and ensures proper transfer to radiologist group.
• Supports safety, infection control and department standards.
• Mentors staff and students during training and rotations.
• Contributes to data collection for quality improvement and regulatory compliance.

Education

Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology

Certificate of completion from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
