Qualifications

Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
ARRT Certification required within 60 days of hire.
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary radiology team.

Responsibilities

Performs radiology procedures accurately and efficiently per standards and protocols.
Initiates appropriate intervention to radiologist when immediate attention is needed.
Reviews indications for exams and reports inappropriate indications to supervisor.
Provides complete exam data for interpretation by the reading radiologist.
Utilizes PACS, RIS, HIS/EMR systems and performs general clerical duties.
Archives image data for permanent storage and sends images to the radiologist group.
Retrieves stored images from PACS or disc backups and creates CDs.
Adheres to medical, legal, safety and infection-control requirements.
Mentors staff/students during training, rotations and orientation.
Supports records maintenance per department/Joint Commission/OSHA guidelines.
