Job summary

Avera Gregory Hospital in South Dakota is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate radiographic and CT equipment and capture diagnostically useful images. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to support patient care and radiology workflows.

The role requires ARRT certification within 60 days and an accredited radiologic technology credential, with emphasis on safety, accuracy and timely reporting. The position is full-time and on-site.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
• ARRT certification required or to be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain visual/auditory awareness.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiology procedures accurately and efficiently per standards and protocols.
• Initiate appropriate intervention to radiologist or referrer for exams needing immediate attention.
• Review indications for exams and report inappropriate indications to supervisor.
• Provide complete and accurate exam data for radiologist interpretation.
• Utilize PACS, RIS, HIS EMR systems and perform general clerical duties.
• Archive image data and send to radiologist group; retrieve stored images as needed.
• Understand medical-legal implications of imaging reports and protect patient data.
• Maintain department policies, quality, safety and infection control.
