Job summary

A radiology technologist position at Avera in rural South Dakota is available to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with established standards and protocols. Responsibilities include X-ray exams, patient positioning, and ensuring safety and quality imaging within the EHR/PACS workflow.

Applicants must be ARRT-licensed or enrolled in an accredited radiologic technology program, with ARRT eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or current enrollment in an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Must be eligible for ARRT certification.
• Mammo & CT certification and/or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic X-ray procedures according to established protocols.
• Ensure quality imaging and patient safety.
• Prepare and position patients appropriately for exams.
• Follow radiation safety and infection control standards.
• Keeps the work area clean and orderly.
• Document procedures accurately in EHR/PACS.
• Handles the necessary paperwork, filing and other office procedures in accordance with department policies.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to support patient care.
• Keeps current with the latest trends in technology and radiological procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information and professional appearance and conduct.
