As a member of the interdisciplinary Cardiac Cath Lab team, contributes professional Cardiovascular Technologist knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures. The Cardiovascular Technologist will function in collaboration with the Registered Nurse team and under the direction of Physicians.

Responsibilities
  • Assess the needs of patients and families undergoing invasive cardiac procedures, providing appropriate teaching and making necessary referrals for continuity of care.
  • Assist physicians in developing personalized care plans collaboratively with patients and families.
  • Complete documentation promptly to ensure an accurate legal record of patient care.
  • Use a holistic approach considering biopsychosocial, spiritual, educational, safety, and age-specific criteria.
  • Apply critical thinking to make judgments and maintain responsibility for patient condition knowledge.
  • Engage in professional development and share knowledge through networking and research activities.
  • Assess and select teaching strategies suitable for patients' and families' age, culture, gender, and comprehension levels.
  • Consult hospital resources to provide specialized education as needed.
