Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to support Ortho Neuro Imaging in Finger Lakes Bone & Joint. You will assist radiologists, perform imaging procedures, and prioritize patient safety and comfort during exams.

The role requires NYS licensure in Radiologic Technology (or timely licensure) and ARRT certification if licensed after 2007, with BLS preferred. On-site, full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Two years college certificate or equivalent.
• Must hold NYS license in Radiologic Technology or obtain licensure within six months.
• If licensed after 2007, ARRT certification within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiography of patients in assigned areas and provide on-call coverage when needed.
• Ensure timely, accurate exams and maintain patient comfort and safety.
• Maintain clean, stocked rooms and prepare them daily for procedures.
• Document exams and procedures in RIS/PACS and inpatient charts.

Job Title: Radiology TechnologistDepartment: Ortho Neuro ImagingLocation: Finger Lakes Bone & JointHours Per Week: 40Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 4 pmSUMMARY: As a Radiologic Technologist, you assist radiologists with imaging procedures to ensure diagnostic quality and the maximum comfort and safety of patients who undergo procedures.RESPONSIBILITIES:Patient Care - Perform radiography of patients in all assigned areas; maintain accountability for timely and proper service to patients during unsupervised shifts; provide on-call coverage for the Diagnostic Section of Radiology; provide excellent patient service.General Maintenance - Clean, restock, and prepare rooms on a daily basis.Documentation - Ensure concise and complete documentation of patient exams and related procedures, utilizing the RIS/PACS and inpatient charts as necessary.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:2 years college certificate or equivalent.NYS license in Radiologic Technology required OR must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of hire.If licensed after 2007 must obtain American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT) within 1 year of hire.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.BLS Certification preferred.EDUCATION:LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation.
