Job summary

Rochester Regional Health in Canandaigua, NY, seeks a Radiologic Technologist to support the Ortho Neuro Imaging team. You will perform radiography across assigned areas, assist radiologists, and help ensure diagnostic quality and patient safety during procedures.

This full‑time role requires NYS radiologic technology licensure (or permit with licensure within six months), ARRT within 1 year, and ability to work Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4 PM.

Qualifications

• NYS license in Radiologic Technology required at hire or permit with licensure within six months.
• ARRT certification within 1 year of hire if licensed after 2007.
• 2 years college certificate or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiography of patients in all assigned areas.
• Provide on-call coverage for the Diagnostic Section of Radiology.
• Maintain concise documentation of patient exams using RIS/PACS and charts.
• Monitor rooms and assist with general room prep and maintenance.

Job Title: Radiology TechnologistDepartment: Ortho Neuro ImagingLocation: WNY- Orthopedics at CanandaiguaHours Per Week: 40Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 4 pmSUMMARY: As a Radiologic Technologist, you assist radiologists with imaging procedures to ensure diagnostic quality and the maximum comfort and safety of patients who undergo procedures.RESPONSIBILITIES:Patient Care - Perform radiography of patients in all assigned areas; maintain accountability for timely and proper service to patients during unsupervised shifts; provide on-call coverage for the Diagnostic Section of Radiology; provide excellent patient service.General Maintenance - Clean, restock, and prepare rooms on a daily basis.Documentation - Ensure concise and complete documentation of patient exams and related procedures, utilizing the RIS/PACS and inpatient charts as necessary.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:2 years college certificate or equivalent.NYS license in Radiologic Technology required OR must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of hire.If licensed after 2007 must obtain American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT) within 1 year of hire.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.BLS Certification preferred.EDUCATION:LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation.
