Job summary

Advocate Sherman Hospital Radiology in Illinois seeks a Radiologic Technologist to operate x-ray equipment and produce high-quality diagnostic images. The role requires adherence to ALARA while maintaining patient comfort and accurate documentation.

You will work within a team, support infection control, and stay current with CPR and department procedures. The position is full-time with mid/2nd shift hours, weekend, call, and holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• IEMA Accreditation in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT (RT) Certification or Certificate Eligible; must obtain within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs as ordered.
• Maintain infection control and ALARA principles during exams.
• Ensure patient identification and comfort during procedures.
• Label radiographs per department standards and document results.
• Attend trainings to stay current on procedures and CPR recertification.
• Maintain equipment and supply levels; ensure a clean workspace.
