Job summary

Advocate Sherman Hospital is seeking an experienced X-ray Technologist for overnight coverage in Radiology. This 0.75 FTE role requires six 10-hour shifts per pay period, with a 3rd shift start at 11:00 pm and a rotation schedule including six days on, eight days off, with holiday rotation.

Responsibilities include operating radiographic equipment, ensuring image quality, adhering to ALARA, and maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• IEMA Accreditation in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT (RT) Certification or Certificate Eligible; must obtain within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs per physician orders.
• Maintain ALARA principles and infection control.
• Ensure patient comfort and clear explanations of procedures.
• Adhere to department standards of radiographic quality and documentation.
