Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform routine and specialized diagnostic radiologic procedures for patients of all ages under a Radiologist's direction. The role requires independent judgment to adapt procedures for specific diagnostic results.

The position offers sign-on and relocation bonuses for eligible applicants. Candidates must be ARRT-certified, hold BLS within 30 days, and possess a Radiologic Technology credential and related degree, with relevant field

Qualifications

ARRT registered radiography (R) certification is required.
BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
License as Radiologic Technologist - Radiography (IEMA) where applicable.
Certificate of Completion: Radiologic Technology.
Associate’s Degree: Radiologic Technology.
Related field work experience.

Responsibilities

Performs radiologic diagnostic procedures accurately within department guidelines.
Acts as resource person for staff performing radiographic procedures.
Ensures optimal image quality with proper filters, collimation, markers and patient ID.
Maintains patient comfort and radiation safety during procedures.
Maintains equipment knowledge and is a troubleshooting resource.
Keeps work area clean, stocks supplies, and verifies room accessories.
Performs laboratory testing as appropriate.
Promotes timely, accurate image processing and reporting.
