Job summary

HCA Florida Stuart Emergency is seeking a Radiology Tech PRN to join our dedicated team. You will operate x-ray equipment, perform radiographic procedures and support patient care under a Radiologist's supervision in a fast-paced ER setting.

Responsibilities include explaining procedures, positioning patients, maintaining safety protocols, and mentoring new staff. ARRT certification, state licensure, and BLS are required to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• Current state licensure or permit in medical imaging.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Strong customer service and listening skills.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, squat, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to take radiographs.
• Explain procedures to patients and address concerns.
• Position patients using immobilization devices.
• Operate equipment in ED, OR and at patient bedside.
• Take images and develop film.
• Monitor, record and document patient information in digital systems.
• Provide radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient and staff.
• Assist with transporting patients.
• Orient and mentor new staff.
• Follow standard precautions with PPE.
