HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate x-ray equipment and deliver high-quality imaging in a fast-paced emergency setting. You will work under a Radiologist, explain procedures to patients, and ensure comfort and safety while capturing diagnostic images.

The role requires ARRT certification, state licensure, and BLS, with a focus on patient care, safety protocols, and teamwork in a supportive hospital environment on the Treasure Coast.

Qualifications

• ARRT Certification required.
• Current state licensure or permit to practice medical imaging.
• Current Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Strong customer service and listening skills are essential.
• Critical thinking and decisive judgment in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform duties with frequent standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operates x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body.
• Under supervision of a Radiologist, performs x-ray procedures.
• Explains procedures to patients and addresses concerns.
• Positions patients using immobilization devices.
• May administer contrast media.
• Operates stationary/portable equipment in ED, OR and at bedside.
• Takes images and develops film.
• Monitors and documents using computer systems.
• Adheres to age-specific care needs.
• Mentors new staff.
• Practices radiation protection to minimize exposure.
• Provides safe environment for administering contrast material.
• Assists with transporting patients.
• Follows Standard Precautions with PPE.
