Job summary

Vail Health in Colorado seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographs, ensuring image quality and patient safety. The role supports physicians and surgeons, operates advanced imaging equipment, and maintains accurate documentation.

A strong emphasis on safety, confidentiality, and teamwork pervades daily work. ARRT and BLS certifications are required; one year of radiology experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs all radiographic examinations according to Vail Health Protocols.
• Assists Radiologist with fluoroscopic procedures.
• Operates C-arm and O-arm under the surgeon's direction.
• Identifies patient and reviews exam order for consistency with clinical diagnosis.
• Reviews demographic information for accuracy.
• Maintains collaboration with patients, families, physicians, and health care team.
• Adheres to department policies, safety, infection control, and universal precautions.
• Maintains HIS and PACS documentation and updates records.
• Monitors inventory and notifies staff when stock is low.
• Keeps exam and dressing rooms stocked and neat.

About the opportunity:

Performs diagnostic examinations, ensures image quality, patient safety, radiation safety, and patient and physician satisfaction.

What you will do:

• Performs all radiographic examinations according to Vail Health Protocols.
• Assists Radiologist with all fluoroscopic procedures.
• Operates large C-arm and O-arm under the direction of the surgeon.
• Identifies each patient and reviews exam order for consistency of examination ordered with clinical diagnosis.
• Reviews consistency of all demographic information including physician’s name and signature, patient’s name, and date.
• Maintains constructive collaborative communication with patients, families, physicians, co-workers, and other members of health care team to contribute to continuity of care.
• Maintains established department policies and procedures, objectives, confidentiality, quality assurance, safety, environmental standards, radiation protection standards, infection control standards, and universal precautions.
• Maintains working knowledge and use of the Vail Health HIS and PACS computer systems to ensure quality patient documentation.
• Monitor supply inventory and notify appropriate staff for ordering when stock is low.
• Keep exam and dressing rooms stocked and neat.

Hourly Pay:
