Job summary

Vail Health in Colorado is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic examinations and support fluoroscopic procedures. You will ensure image quality, patient safety, and effective communication with patients and physicians.

ARRT and BLS are required, with at least one year of radiology experience preferred. This PRN/POOL role offers hourly pay and benefits such as wellbeing reimbursement funds and 403(b) contribution eligibility.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform all radiographic examinations per protocols.
  • Assist radiologist with fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Operate C‑arm and O‑arm under surgeon direction.
  • Identify patient and review exam order for accuracy.
  • Review demographic and physician information for accuracy.
  • Maintain clear communication with patients, families, physicians, and care team.
  • Maintain policies on safety, radiation protection, infection control and confidentiality.
  • Maintain HIS and PACS documentation for patient records.
  • Monitor inventory and notify staff to restock supplies.
  • Keep exam and dressing rooms stocked and neat.

About the opportunity

Performs diagnostic examinations, ensures image quality, patient safety, radiation safety, and patient and physician satisfaction.

What you will do
  • Performs all radiographic examinations according to Vail Health Protocols.
  • Assists Radiologist with all fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Operates large C-arm and O-arm under the direction of the surgeon.
  • Identifies each patient and reviews exam order for consistency of examination ordered with clinical diagnosis.
  • Reviews consistency of all demographic information including physician’s name and signature, patient’s name, and date.
  • Maintains constructive collaborative communication with patients, families, physicians, co-workers, and other members of health care team to contribute to continuity of care.
  • Maintains established department policies and procedures, objectives, confidentiality, quality assurance, safety, environmental standards, radiation protection standards, infection control standards, and universal precautions.
  • Maintains working knowledge and use of the Vail Health HIS and PACS computer systems to ensure quality patient documentation.
  • Monitor supply inventory and notify appropriate staff for ordering when stock is low.
  • Keep exam and dressing rooms stocked and neat.

Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per hour.

Hourly Pay: $34.05 USD - $47 USD
