Job summary

Vail Health is seeking a PRN radiology technologist to perform diagnostic X-ray procedures and ensure image quality and patient safety. The role requires ARRT certification and BLS, with at least one year of radiology experience preferred.

You will maintain HIPAA compliance and participate in quality and safety programs while collaborating with physicians and staff. Hourly pay ranges from $34.05 to $50.28 USD, with a 16% PRN differential and wellbeing/403(b) benefits.

About the opportunity:

Performs diagnostic examinations, ensures image quality, patient safety, radiation safety, and patient and physician satisfaction.

This position is PRN or as needed. Eligiible for 16% PRN differential.

What you will do:

1. Performs all radiographic examinations according to Vail Health protocols.
2. Maintains constructive collaborative communication with patients, families, physicians, co-workers, and other members of health care team to contribute to continuity of care.
3. Maintains established department policies and procedures, objectives, confidentiality, quality assurance, safety, environmental standards, radiation protection standards, infection control standards, and universal precautions.
4. Identifies each patient and reviews exam order for consistency of examination ordered with clinical diagnosis. Reviews consistency of all demographic information including physician’s name and signature, patient’s name, and date.
5. Maintains working knowledge and use of the VH HIS and PACS computer systems to ensure quality patient documentation.
6. Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
7. Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.

Experience:

• One year of experience in radiology preferred.

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
