Job summary

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a part-time PRN Radiology Assistant to perform basic diagnostic X-rays under supervision and assist in patient flow within the radiology department. A senior student enrolled in a radiography program is preferred, with a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification required.

Pay rate is $21.00 per hour, with sign-on eligibility based on policy. Responsibilities include preparing patients, assisting physicians and technologists across modalities with contrast

Qualifications

• Senior student enrolled in Radiography program preferred.
• Clinical experience preferred as part of education.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic diagnostic x-rays supervised by a radiology technologist.
• Identifies and assists patients with questions about procedures.
• Prepares patients for exam and ensures patient safety when technologist absent.
• Obtains medications/contrast media as directed for administration by licensed staff.
• Assists physicians and technologists across modalities with contrast administration as needed.
• Retrieves orders and requisitions in RIS/EMR and supports workflow.
• Assists patients with restroom needs and other clinical support tasks.
• Contributes to administrative duties, QA, safety, and compliance.
