Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with coursework toward a certificate or degree in medical imaging.
• Basic ability to perform diagnostic x-rays under supervision.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams and ensure patient safety in the absence of the radiology technologist.
• Identify and assist patients with questions about procedures.
• Obtain medications, radiopharmaeceuticals, or contrast media as directed for administration by a licensed practitioner.
• Assist physicians and technologists in diagnostic exams across modalities (Rad/Fluro, CT, IR, Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET, Ultrasound).
• Retrieve patient orders and support RIS/EMR workflow.
• Assist patients with restroom needs and other clinical support tasks.
• Support administrative duties, QA, safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
