Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Radiology Support Aide in Shelby, NC. The role involves assisting in patient care and coordinating with radiology staff to facilitate exams across modalities, under supervision. A senior student in a radiography program is preferred, with a sign-on bonus eligibility based on qualifications.

Pay range is $21.00 per hour. Requires a high school diploma or GED with related coursework, and BLS certification.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED with preliminary coursework toward a certificate or degree in a medical imaging field.
• Clinical experience based on the educational program affiliated with the pursuit of career in medical imaging; Medical clerical skills preferred.
• BLS required.

Responsabilidades

• Performs a variety of patient care duties and other professional activities as needed to facilitate patient care and treatment.
• Performs under the supervision of a radiology technologist.
• Assists in monitoring the flow of patient activities in the department.
• Performs basic diagnostic x-rays supervised by a radiology technologist.
• Identifies and assists patients with questions about procedures.
• Prepares patients for exam and ensures patient safety in the absence of the radiology technologist.
• Obtains medications, radiopharmaeceuticals, or contrast media materials as directed for administration by a licensed practitioner, authorized/certified technologist or registered nurse.
• Assists physicians and technologists in the performance of diagnostic exams across modalities (Rad/Fluro, CT, IR, Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET, Ultrasound) including contrast procedures.
• Retrieves patient orders and requisitions while supporting administrative or miscellaneous work tasks in RIS/EMR.
• Assists patients with restroom needs and other ancillary clinical support tasks.
• Assists with administrative duties, quality assurance, safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
